Financial & Payment Policies
Insurance
Our office accepts all insurance plans. If you are unsure of your coverage, please do not
hesitate to call us. Our staff will verify and explain your benefits before treatment, at no
charge.
Although each policy is a little different and each patient receives varying services
depending on the condition being treated, a patient with insurance may expect to pay on
average between $0 to $20 per visit regardless if we are in or out of network with your
insurance company. Our office will fill out the claim forms and submit it to your insurance
provider for you at no charge. Typically, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Massage,
Acupuncture and Orthotics are incorporated into your health insurance policy.
If you do not have insurance we offer affordable prepayment packages which will be
reviewed with you before treatment is begun.
If your condition is due to an automobile injury:
There are many situations in which a person(s) can be covered for treatment for such an
injury. The best way to find out is to call our office and speak to our staff or the doctor. If
an attorney is involved he will advise you also. Our office will work with attorneys on a lien
basis. This means that the attorney will be paying the doctor directly. These kinds of
cases can be confusing so please don't hesitate to call our office for assistance.
If your injury occurred at work:
Your employer or your employer's insurance carrier, by law, is financially responsible for
payment of all treatment charges which are a result of your work injury or condition. You
are entitled to receive all necessary care and treatment which restores your health to a
pre-injury status or to the best possible condition. Please Note: When you have a work-
related injury or illness, the law requires that you notify your employer immediately, no
later than 30 days from knowledge of your injury. If it has been determined, upon the
doctor’s evaluation, that you are currently experiencing symptoms or problems that are
unrelated to your work injury, your employer's Workers' Compensation insurance carrier
will not be responsible for treatment. It is very important for you to follow our
recommendations and to keep your scheduled appointments with this office in order to
achieve maximum benefit to your condition.
Medicare Policy
Medicare requires that you pay a yearly deductible of $100.00 towards your Part B
medical expenses before they will begin paying for covered services. If you have already
been treated by other doctors this year, you may apply those bills toward your deductible.
After you have met your deductible, Medicare will reimburse 80% of the "allowable"
treatment charges. The only "allowable" treatment charge by a chiropractor is "manual
manipulation of the spine."
X-Rays may be needed or necessary, as to be determined by the doctor, for proper care
and treatment.
Medicare will not reimburse for examination charges, and therefore, payment must be
made by you upon services rendered.
The doctor may determine that certain physical therapy modalities or procedures, vitamin
supplements or orthopedic supports may be necessary to assist in the treatment of your
condition. Medicare may not reimburse for any of these services.
